Laycon wins BBNaija, grabs N85m prize

‌Twenty-six-year-old Laycon has emerged the winner of the 2020 edition of the Big Brother Naija reality TV show, which officially came to an end on Sunday, after 99 days of live entertainment.

Laycon got over 41.77 percentage of a total of 203 million votes cast by viewers to beat fellow housemate, Dorathy, who got about 21.85 per cent of the votes.

Both contestants were among the five finalists, including Nengi, Neo and Vee, that made it to the grand finale of the show, out of a total of 20 housemates. 

For winning the show and emerging the first male contestant to become verified on instagram while in the big brother naija house  since inception, Laycon was presented with a cheque of N85m. 

He will also receive various gifts and incentives valued at N85 million. They include N30 million cash prize; a two-bedroom apartment courtesy Revolution Plus; a top of the range SUV from Nigerian automaker, Innoson Motors; a trip to Dublin courtesy Guinness; home appliances courtesy Scanfrost.


Others are a trip to Dubai packaged by Travelbeta; a year’s supply of Indomie noodles, Munch it, and Colgate toothpaste; a year’s supply of Pepsi, a branded chiller, trip to watch the UEFA Champions League finale; and a brand new Oppo mobile smartphone.
